About InBites

More thana team thatbuilds websites.

Small by designBuilt for the long term

InBites is a small web development agency focused on building, supporting, and continuously improving websites for businesses and agencies.

WordPress at the centre. Shopify, WooCommerce, integrations, accessibility, performance, hosting, and the systems around a modern website.

01 / What we believe

But the technology

is only part
of the job.

After years of building and supporting websites, one thing has become very clear to us:

Launching the site is rarely the end of the work.

Requirements change. Content grows. New tools need to be connected. Plugins update. Performance changes. Accessibility problems appear. Something that made perfect sense two years ago starts getting in the way.

That is why we build for what happens next.

02 / The words behind the work

Problem solvers. Partners. Driven.

These words have been part of InBites for a long time. To us, they mean something specific.

01

Problem Solvers

The objective is not more development. It is the right development.

We do not want to simply receive a list of tasks and close tickets without understanding what is behind them.

Sometimes the requested fix is exactly what should be done. Sometimes the real problem is somewhere else.

We take the time to understand the existing website, the requirement, and the constraints around it before deciding how to move forward.

That can mean troubleshooting an unexpected production issue, finding a maintainable way to introduce new functionality, simplifying an implementation that has become unnecessarily complicated, or recognizing when something does not need to be rebuilt at all.

02

Partners

The best relationships stop feeling like an outside vendor.

We learn the website. We understand how the team works. We know why certain decisions were made.

When something new comes up, there is already context behind the conversation. That makes development faster, communication easier, and technical decisions better.

It is why ongoing relationships are such an important part of the agency we are building.

We are happy to deliver a substantial new website or focused technical project, but our ideal relationship does not necessarily end when that project launches.

03

Driven

We care about getting the work finished properly.

That means communicating when something is unclear, identifying risks before they become bigger problems, testing changes beyond the obvious happy path, and taking responsibility for the quality of what we deliver.

Not every technical problem has an elegant solution. Not every existing website has been built the way we would have built it.

Real development means being able to work within those realities and still keep things moving forward.

03 / How InBites started

Building taught us.
Support changed us.

InBites was founded in 2019 from a combination of development, design, and years of experience working with websites for businesses and agencies.

Initially, much of our work centered around turning supplied designs into production WordPress and Shopify websites. That work taught us a lot about building websites. Supporting those websites afterward taught us even more.

It showed us how small development decisions can make future changes either straightforward or frustrating—and how websites evolve once marketing teams, content editors, plugins, integrations, customers, and real business requirements begin interacting with them.

04 / What we do today

Four areas.
One continuous relationship.

01

Ongoing Web Development & Support

For businesses and agencies with live websites that need dependable technical capacity. We work through backlogs, fix problems, maintain existing functionality, introduce improvements, and provide continuity as the website evolves.

02

Custom WordPress Development

For projects that need more than standard theme settings or page-builder functionality: custom content structures, ACF, WooCommerce, templates, integrations, custom functionality, and larger WordPress implementations.

03

Accessibility & Performance

Accessibility remediation, WCAG-focused development, Core Web Vitals improvements, performance troubleshooting, and frontend optimization for existing websites.

04

Integrations & Technical Improvements

Forms, analytics, CRMs, APIs, membership systems, retail locators, marketing platforms, migrations, hosting, and the systems that need to work together behind the customer experience.

05 / Existing websites

Starting over is not
automatically the answer.

We work on many websites we did not originally build. Some are extremely well structured. Others have passed through several developers, agencies, redesigns, plugins, and approaches. That does not automatically mean they need to be replaced.

Before recommending major changes, we prefer to understand:

01what is currently working 02what is actually causing problems 03which limitations matter 04what the business needs next 05where technical debt creates real cost 06what can be improved safely
Sometimes the right recommendation is a rebuild. Often, it is not.

We would rather improve the system intelligently than sell unnecessary work.

06 / Who we work with

Inside your team.
Behind your website.

For agencies

A development partner behind your team.

We support agencies that lead strategy, creative, marketing, or client relationships and need dependable technical execution behind the scenes.

Make the development side easier for your team to depend on.
For businesses

Technical continuity without building an internal team.

For teams with too much ongoing web work to start from zero each time—but not enough to justify building an internal development department.

Keep the context, the momentum, and the website moving forward.

07 / Built for what comes next

We still enjoy launching
new websites.

But we think some of the most valuable work happens afterward.

The next feature. The next integration. The unexpected issue. The accessibility improvement. The performance problem. The request nobody anticipated.

Our capabilities are expanding into deeper integrations, workflow automation, and AI-enabled web solutions as those tools become genuinely useful to the businesses we support.

We do not know what every client’s website will need three years from now. Our job is to build and support it in a way that leaves room to find out.

Let’s keep your website moving forward
